Basic Leader Training
The new Basic Leader Training program is a seamless training program that helps leaders easily graduate through the courses quickly and with little duplication.
Cub Scout Fast Start Video Viewer's Guide
Used in conjunction with the Cub Scout Fast Start video (item AV-01V022), this guide will help you understand and carry out your responsibilities as a Cub Scout den leader.
Boy Scout Leader Assessment Tool
This tool is designed to help Boy Scout Leaders assess their strengths and weaknesses in regard to the current Boy Scout leader training courses. Your results will be used to help the national Boy Scout organization and your local council to improve their training courses and help identify the training needs of the general membership.
Campmasters
The campmaster corps is a group of selected, trained, and registered Scouters who serve at council weekend camps whenever troops, teams, Webelos dens, or crews are using any part of the camp property.
Cub Scout Leader Basic Training
Cub Scout Leader Basic Training is a training course for Cubmasters, their assistants, den leaders, pack committee members, and all other Cub Scout leaders.
Guide to Safe Scouting
The purpose of the Guide to Safe Scouting is to prepare adult leaders to conduct Scouting activities in a safe and prudent manner.
High Adventure and Sports for Crew Program
For any Venturing volunteer or professional. This course will teach you how to access high-adventure resources and use consultants in your community. This course will also teach you about implementing the Quest sports award. The course material will help any crew Advisor implement a successful Ranger program.
International Division
The international efforts of the BSA are supported by the International Division at the national office.
Kodiak and Kodiak-X
An exciting opportunity for leaders and young crewmembers to experience Venturing's newest leadership course. Everyone will actually participate fully in all the leadership commissions that this course will deliver. You will be ready to teach others in your council how to administer these new courses at the council level.
Manual for Chaplain Aides and Chaplains
This manual will orient volunteers to the duties, responsibilities, and opportunities of chaplain service in Boy Scout troops.
Nature of Leadership Treks
Leadership and service to others are two key tenets of Venturing, the Boy Scouts of America's fast-growing teenage program. The new Nature of Leadership Treks teaches useable, relevant leadership skills for every teen.
Passport to High Adventure Training Outline
This training outline teaches how Scouts can plan and safely carry out council and unit high-adventure treks using Leave No Trace techniques.
Philmont Training Center
The Philmont Training Center (PTC) provides a unique environment for the training of volunteer and professional leaders.
Powder Horn
Powder Horn is a seven-day course (also offered in the weekend variety) on high-adventure resources. It is not a personal development course like Wood Badge or even a skills course. It will let you experience many high-adventure skills, learn where to get the resources to support high-adventure programs, and discover how to offer those programs in such an exciting, out-of-the-box way that teens will keep coming back to meetings and activities.
Relationships Division
The Relationships Division at the national office works to promote and support Scouting units chartered by national organizations. Training the Chartered Organization Representative is an outline for an orientation course designed to familiarize Chartered Organization Representatives with Scouting's purpose, mission, structure, programs, and more.
Scoutreach Division
The Scoutreach Division gives special leadership and emphasis to urban and rural Scouting programs.
Scoutreach conferences feature the latest training tools and techniques, audiovisuals, discussions, idea-sharing, and activities. The faculty are experienced professional Scouters and volunteers knowledgeable in successful Scoutreach methods. Conferences are presented in a relaxed learning environment with lots of Scouting fun and fellowship.

Sea Scouting
Sea Scout leaders at the unit, district, and council levels will enjoy this comprehensive look into successful ship operations, working with the district and council, and regional and national resources and events. Participants will gain valuable insights and best methods from around the country.
Teaching Leave No Trace
The purpose of this manual is to further Leave No Trace skills and awareness of outdoor ethics.
The Building Blocks of Scouting
This resource puts the building blocks of Scouting into perspective, and depicts some of the materials available that help make Scouting happen.
The Pack Trainer
The pack trainer's main objective is to have 100% of the pack leadership trained in their position responsibilities.

Training Venturing Leaders
This course focuses on developing an effective Venturing training team: training and developing trainers, planning to achieve 100% trained leaders, and effective training techniques. The five-session Adult Venturing Leader Basic Training will be the syllabus.
Venturing - District and Council Administration
Participants will learn how to successfully implement the Venturing program in their council and district. All literature and resources will be highlighted, as well as specific ways that the Venturing advancement program works in a unit. The staff will share best methods from around the country.
Venturing Fast Start (PDF)
Venturing Fast Start (Interactive)
This guide is designed to assist the newly recruited Venturing crew Advisor in using the Venturing program planning process to get a crew up and running and off to a successful start. Highlights include program goals, Venturing methods, crew orientation, steps to getting your crew up and running, leadership position responsibilities, and hints for successful crew operations. It also provides information on suggested crew activities, cooperative and problem-solving games, and suggested agendas.
Venturing Programming for Religious Groups
Participants will learn about the entire new Religious Life "top award". Discover Venturing resources on how councils and districts can implement and support religious youth groups. This is a great course for professionals and volunteers.
Venturing - The Crew
Venturing crew-level volunteers will receive detailed information about how to plan and run successful meetings, activities, and open houses. They will learn how to train and motivate youth officers, and how to run a successful advancement program. They will also be taught portions of Adult Venturing Leader Basic Training and the Venturing Leadership Skills Course.
